Rhypotoses maculutea
(holotype)

Rhypotoses maculutea
(paratype)

17mm, 18-23mm. The dull orange-yellow and black facies is similar to that of Nygmia sinuinigra but the build is less robust and the venation and male genitalia typical of Rhypotoses. The fasciae of the forewing follow the same course as in other Rhypotoses and are white-edged on the medial side. The hindwing is diagnostically dark grey with a narrow orange-yellow border. The male genitalia have quadrilateral, lobed valves similar to those of brooksi but with a more evenly tapering uncus. The female genitalia are also typical of the genus.
