Diagnosis. The facies is as described in the generic account. The next species, C. telygeta Prout, has the forewings slightly narrower and their postmedial less symmetrically or strongly angled, the flexure being closer to the costa. The antemedial is more oblique. The original descriptions by Prout note further differences of colouration in the head, including the labial palps.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The species is rare on G. Kinabalu, recorded between 1000m and 2110m, and single specimens were taken at 1780m and 1790m sites on G. Mulu.
