Chrysaeglia magnifica Walker

Diagnosis.
See the generic description. The size of the species and the configuration of the blue-black on the forewing are diagnostic.

Geographical range. Borneo, N.E. Himalaya, Taiwan (ab. taiwana); Sulawesi (ssp. gigas).

Habitat preference. Records during the Mulu survey were all associated with limestone, with two specimens taken in alluvial forest at around 70m and 13 on G. Api at 900m. Records from the lowlands of Brunei do not appear to be associated with limestone (Labi, Rampayoh, Ulu Belait).
