Parvaroa obscura (holotype)


8mm. This is a smaller, darker grey species than cinerea. The markings are more obscure and the discal dot is small. In the male genitalia the saccus and aedeagus are much shorter than in cinerea, though one paratype of the latter (slide 1196) also has them short.

Holotype . SARAWAK: Gunung Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D. Holloway et al.) Site 5, January, Camp 4, Mulu, 1780m, 451463, [upper] montane forest, BM lymantriid slide 2487.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The holotype is from upper montane forest.
