Arctornis tricorniger sp.
Redoa sp. 7; Holloway: 1976: 44.
17, 19mm. The facies is much as in the naphtha group with broad
irregularities in the satiny reflection from the wings. The frons and palps are
extensively rufous-yellow, the latter darker apically. The foretibia has a basal
patch of the same colour, and the forewing costa is also slightly tinged yellow.
The male genitalia are not of the naphtha type, having a needle-like
distal part of the uncus arising from a triangular base. The valves are also
diagnostically adorned with two large spines dorsally on the sacculus and a
smaller one directed ventrally in a subapical position.
