Raphiscopa albipunctata sp. n.

Raphiscopa albipunctata
Figure 103

12mm. This species has similar facies to the previous one and to E. rudmuna but is smaller than both. It is a more uniform blackish brown, with stronger white submarginals on all wings. The postmedial on the forewing is close to the reniform, rather sinuous, and that on the hindwing is represented by a short, angled section subdorsally. The forewing reniform is a clear white patch, almost circular, and the orbicular is a further white patch just on the basal side of the antemedial. The medial zone distad to this is also somewhat paler. The antennae are bipectinate as in E. rudmuna. The labial palps are strongly recurved, and the third segment has a hair pencil. The genitalia are characterised by large triangular extensions to the costa of each valve, with the right valve much shorter, and by a rather wrinkled and membranous transtilla in the form of a square arch. The aedeagus vesica is generally scobinate but has an array of larger spines on a small lobe distally, adjacent to the base of the ductus ejaculatorius.
