Sypna brandti

This is the smallest Sypna species, a brown colour similar to that of  subsignatoides and a similar dark medial band to the forewing, though this last is narrower and of more even width, flanked on each side by doubled pale fasciae.

The biarcuate submarginal consists of a more locally sized array of dark brown marks, those near the costa only slightly larger than the rest.

Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo.

Habitat preference. The only Bornean record is a male from 1465m on Bukit Retak in Brunei.
