Diascia hayesi Holloway
Diascia hayesi Holloway, 1976: 35.

Diascia hayesi

Diagnosis. The species bears some resemblance to Stictopterinae of the genus Diascoides Holloway, but differs from these in having the medial area of the forewing darker rather than paler than the rest, and in having paler fasciation over the tornal area of the hindwing.

Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Thailand (VK).

Habitat preference. This is a common lowland forest species but also occurs infrequently in montane forests up to 1930m. Chey (1994) recorded it frequently in lowland softwood plantations in Sabah.
