Avitta bracteola

Diagnosis. The ochreous fawn forewings, marked only by the B-shaped reniform and a few costal marks representing the fasciae, are distinctive. The pale yellow border of the hindwing is almost as extensive as in guttulosa. The thorax is a slightly more rufous ochreous fawn.

Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra (HS / ZSM), Thailand (VK).

Habitat preference. Only four specimens have been recorded in Borneo: the holotype from 1200m on G. Kinabalu (see the previous species); one from 1618m on Bukit Retak; two from lowland forest localities in Brunei at Badawan (400m) and the Ulu Temburong (300m).
