Zonoplusia Chou & Lu
Type species: ochreata Walker.
The type species of this genus was included in Thysanoplusia by
Ichinose (1973). The aedeagus vesica has a single terminal cornutus as in that
genus but the valves are relatively broad with a short harpe and clavus, and
there are no lateral hair tufts on male abdominal segments 5 and 6, present in Thysanoplusia.
However, the slightly bronzy tone of the marginal zone of the forewing and
the course of the dark submarginal within this are somewhat as in T.
bipartita.
