Diagnosis.
The apical white patch of the forewing is variable in extent. The reniform is strongly excavated distally, with a small but conspicuous creamy white rectangle in the indentation. This is absent in the next species which has a reniform of more typical shape but shares the apical pale patch.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo; Sulawesi, New Guinea, Queensland.

Habitat preference.
The species is found infrequently in forested habitats from the lowlands to 2200m.
