Condica aroana

Diagnosis.
This is a smaller, more delicate species than illecta with deeper, more variegated dark grey forewings within which the reniform is obviously paler. C. conducta is smaller, with browner, less variegated forewings, but has a similarly narrow, straplike valve in the male genitalia; it has not been recorded definitely from Borneo.

Geographical range. Indo-Australian tropics to Queensland and the Bismarcks; not noted from the Indian Subregion.

Habitat preference.
The species is infrequent in open habitats in the lowlands but occurs to as high as 1200m on G. Kinabalu.
