Thalathoides
curtalis sp. n.
Thalatha conjecturalis ab curtalis Warren, 1913, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde, 11:36.
Thalatha
conjecturalis Swinhoe sensu Holloway, 1976: 13.
14mm,
15-16mm.
The species is very similar to the previous one but with a pale greenish tinge
to the forewing ground, less heavy fasciation and absence of blackish suffusion
from the central black triangle on the costa. The
subtornal black marking is stronger, angled.
In the male genitalia the cucullus is narrower, asymmetric, broadening only
slightly from the neck, and the saccular zone has a gently curved distal margin
rather than an angular one. The female genitalia are very similar to those of conjecturalis.
