, 8-9mm. The facies is as in pudibunda, but the hindwing lacks a medial band. The male genitalia have only three cornuti (two opposite one) in the vesica rather than a row of five or more opposite a single one; the valve lacks a central angle to the sacculus but has a complex round flap in the centre just dorsal to the sacculus. In the female the ductus is longer, with a deep cleft in the ostium.

Holotype  SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D. Holloway et al.), Site 11, February, Camp 1, Mulu, 150m. 385470, mixed dipt. for. by river, BM arctiid slide 5348.

Paratypes (dissected specimens only listed): 1 (slide 5316) as holotype but Site 8; l (slide 4771) as holotype but Site 16, March, Long Pala (Base), 70m 324450, alluv./secondary for.; 1 (slide 5349) BRUNEI: U. Temburong, 1º forest, 300m, iv.1981 (I.Gauld).

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The species is infrequent in lowland forest of various types: hill dipterocarp, heath and alluvial.
