Teulisna pallidicauda sp. n

Teulisna pallidicauda
(x 1.30)

13-14mm. The facies is similar to that of nigricauda except the abdomen is straw-coloured, and the modified scales at the base of the forewing (the more distal row extending back from the costa in nigricauda is vestigial here) are edged darkish, giving an appearance of a shallow step. The male genitalia have the apex of the dorsal part of the valve more sinuous than in nigricauda, and the saccular process ends in a slightly angled setose club that lacks the larger spines seen in nigricauda. The saccus membrane is unadorned, whereas there is a basal pair of hair-pencils and faint central bands of scobination in nigricauda.
