7mm. The male facies is similar to that of commotoides. but the discal spot and postmedial of the forewing are weaker, and the black marginal marks at the apex and marginal angle are prominent, extending from there basad; there is a dark triangle on the costa at about two-thirds. The male genitalia are of the modified type with the longer uncus mentioned in the generic description. The valve ornamentation is asymmetric, with slender and broad processes on each valve as illustrated.

Holotype .BRUNEI: 300m, Ulu Temburong, Rainforest (H.S. B[arlow]), Oct.1978, BM arctiid slide 4962.

Paratypes: 2 SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D. Holloway et al.), Site 7 (slide 4971), January, Long Pala (Base), 50m, 324450, alluvial/secondary forest, and Site 8, February, Camp 1, Mulu, 150m, 385470, mixed dipt. for.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. All material is from lowland dipterocarp (including alluvial) forest.
