Lacida biplagata
(Peninsular Malaysia)

The grey facies with black marginal marks on the forewing is diagnostic. There is some sexual dimorphism, the male having more variegated forewings and being a distinctly paler grey basal to the angled antemedial and in the region of the tornal angle.

Geographical range. Sundaland, N.E. Himalaya.

Habitat preference. The species is uncommon in Borneo. Two females in recent surveys were from 500m on G. Mulu in dipterocarp forest and from 1200m on G. Kinabalu in an area (Bundu Tuhan) with both forest fragments and cultivation. There is an older specimen from Kuching.
