Diagnosis. The forewing pattern, especially the subbasal orange and purple
markings, renders this species unmistakable.
Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is infrequent in mixed dipterocarp forest
but was also taken singly in kerangas and lower montane forest during the Mulu
survey.
