Loepa megacore
(.61 natural size)

Diagnosis.
This species is larger than sikkima and is best distinguished from it and katinka Westwood by the absence of pink in the subbasal line of the forewing, or only a hint of it; the subbasal is also more heavily black and irregular in course.

Geographical range. Sundaland.

Habitat preference. Most specimens have been taken in upper montane forest on G. Kinabalu and G. Mulu, but the only record for Brunei was in lowland forest in Ulu Temburong.

Biology.
Nassig (in press, a) has described the larva. It is typical of the genus but with the lateral triangular patches darker green than in other species, their anterior angles white.
