Batracharta proutae sp. n.
16, 17mm. See the diagnosis of cossoides above. In proutae, the bifid distal part of the indigo area of the forewing terminates closer to the margin, and distinctly paler marks curve parallel to the posterior border of each bifurcation within the marginal area. On the underside, the hindwings of cossoides are somewhat paler than the forewings, and have a more prominent dark discal spot that is rounder, less lunulate. The genitalia of proutae have the ductus bursae distinctly broadened over its basal half, distal to a constriction at the ostium, whereas in cossoides it is extensively narrow basally. The ductus in proutae is half as long again as in cossoides.
