Targallodes vittalba

The dull, brownish-red forewings with delicate pale yellow and white subapical and mid-dorsal markings render this species unmistakable.

Geographical range. Oriental tropics to Sundaland, Philippines, Sulawesi and New Guinea.

Habitat preference. On G. Kinabalu it was taken infrequently from 1,000-2,000m. In both Brunei and the G. Mulu National Park it has been taken infrequently in a range of lowland forest types but also in upper montane forest at around 1,600m (G. Mulu, Bukit Retak).
