Clethrorasa micropuncta

Clethrorasa micropuncta
(paratype)

15-17mm, 20mm. This is a slightly smaller species than pilcheri, differing in the distribution of black areas on the forewing: the subapical zone of the costa has two triangles rather than one; the discal spot is very much smaller, usually less than one third the area of that of pilcheri and separated from the two adjacent costal marks; the small marginal markings are towards the apex if present rather than centrally and tornally. The hindwings of the male are distinctly paler over the distal half.

In the male genitalia the valve is apically more broadened, rounded, the process at the ventral margin slender, acute rather than rounded. The aedeagus vesica is narrower, the cornuti slightly denser.
