Ectropidia semijubata Prout comb. n.
Diplurodes semijubata Prout, 1929, Novit zool., 35: 74.

Ectropidia semijubata

The facies resemble that of E. fimbripedata but is more contrastedly marked. The submarginals are prominent, zig-zag, often with a greyish suffusion basad that fades towards the postmedial. On the hindwing the straight medial bar, discal spot and postmedial are strongly defined with dark brown but separated mostly by pale ground colour rather than the brownish suffusion of fimbripedata.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.

Habitat preference. The majority of records have been from areas of swamp or heath forest in the lowlands, e.g. dry heath forest at Telisai and swamp forest at Badas in Brunei, and wet heath forest on river terraces west of the Melinau Gorge in Sarawak.
