Diagnosis. See P. dotilla .

Taxonomic notes. A Bornean female has been tentatively identified as flavispila, but it has somewhat different genitalia from a Hainan female dissected (see figure). There are coremata on the male fourth sternite, and there is a scale tuft on the hind femur. The uncus is reduced.

Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Hainan, Hong Kong, Sumatra, ?Borneo, Sumatra, Sula Is., New Guinea, Queensland.

Habitat preference. The possible Bornean female (slide 18202; Fig 122) was taken at 250m in dipterocarp forest on the lower slopes of the limestone G. Api.
