Thalassodes viridifascia
(holotype)

Diagnosis.
This species is immediately recognisable by the strong, but diffuse, green and white barring to the wings.

Taxonomic notes. A similar taxon from Sulawesi, (slide 17561) and Seram is probably best treated as a subspecies of viridifascia. The male genitalia are very similar, but the Sulawesi species dissected has a single, rather than multiply spined distal spur, and squarer, less marginally serrate basal sclerotisation to the valve.

Geographical range. Borneo; Sulawesi, Seram.

Habitat preference. The species is very rare, known from G. Kinabalu only. A single female was taken at 1050m at Kundasan in 1965 (Holloway, 1976).
