Micromelalopha cornutijuxta sp. n.

Micromelalopha cornutijuxta (holotype)

Micromelalopha cornutijuxta (paratype)

16 mm, 17 mm. The facies is as illustrated; the female specimen has a series of pale yellow triangles in the spaces just distal to the forewing postmedial that are more intense anteriorly; these are very faintly evident in the male, each edged black distad. The postmedial and antemedial of the forewing are as in the previous species but the postmedial is fragmented and the latter faint, with the exterior fork of the antemedial over the posterior half of the wing sharply angled basad rather than straight.

In the male genitalia the uncus is bilobed, bearing two additional prongs ventrally; the juxta is massively bicornute; the basal process to the valve costa is an incomplete serrate ring; central and apical processes to the valves are lacking and the saccular corrugation is much finer than in other species and extends almost to the valve apex.

In the female genitalia the lamella antevaginalis consists of two lateral, heavily sclerotised plates, and the lamella postvaginalis consists of two much smaller, scobinate, triangular ones.
