TRIBE PERICYMINI
View Image Gallery of Tribe Pericymini

The tribal characteristics are those of the type genus as described below. The unusual form of the scaphium and the finely fasciated wings are distinctive. The juxta is atypical of the core catocalines, but other features are consistent with inclusion in the group. As indicated on p. 102, Fibiger (2003) associated this group with the Pandesmini, noting they shared a long juxta, a prominent process for the sacculus and a ventero-lateral projection of the vesica. The female genitalia he considered to be very different in all four genera of his Zethes-Pericyma group. As in the Pandesmini, the larval host-plants are Leguminosae.
