17-19mm. The facies is as in P. argyromma, but the male genitalia are distinctive: the costal process of the valve is a short spine, rather than a long, sinuous one, basal to which is a dark, oval, sac-like structure. The aedeagus is sigmoidal, lacking the short distal spiral of argyromma.

Holotype  DUTCH WEST BORNEO: 85 miles above Pontianak (Simons et Meligan (Sanggan)) ex Janson April 1909, BM geometrid slide 18165.

Paratypes: l as holotype, slide 18159; l INDONESIA: Kalimantan, Barito Ulu, lowland dipterocarp for. (W Boyd-Wallis), slide 18155.

Geographical range. Borneo; a related species occurs in Sri Lanka (slide 18177), possibly extending to India.

Habitat preference. All material is from lowland localities.
