Diagnosis. The forewing is bone grey with a diffuse, shallowly oblique, broad,
blackish band running from the basal third of the costa to the margin at one
third from the tornus. The basal half of the forewing is bisected by two black
streaks enclosing a white or very pale brown one.
Habitat preference. In the Mulu survey three specimens were taken in
alluvial forest and one in kerangas. In Brunei the species was recorded mostly
from swamp forest areas but also in lowland dipterocarp forest and mangrove.
